the designer

Born and raised in Lima, Perú, I moved to New York in 2005, where I now live with my husband and two kids. A licensed architect back in my home country, I came to the United States to complete a Professional Career Training Program, which led me to a full time job in an architectural firm in NYC.

With the arrival of my youngest son I decided to leave my job to devote my time and energy to my family. After two years of enjoying being a stay-at-home mom, I re-entered the work force with a part-time job that allows me to pursue my other passions.

Among the many things I love: photography, blogging, home decor, pretty stationary, crafting, sewing, sports. My pool of interests has grown so much in the years I spent caring for my family and home, discovering new talents and hidden hobbies.
As a native Spanish speaker, I'm a full advocate for bilingualism and I'm determined to raise my children bilingual {and to teach Spanish to my husband along the way!}.
When I'm not behind a computer screen drafting or designing something, I enjoy taking family walks on a sunny day or lounging in with take out pizza and playing Pictionary on a cold rainy night.
