{monthly} october - octubre

Although I love Summer I always look forward to October. October means Fall, beautiful colored foliage, apple picking, pumpkins, Fall festivals, and of course Halloween. I love Halloween {it was not always the case, but now I do}. And I so look forward to decorating around the house a bit, making costumes and throwing a little Halloween party for the kids.

Besides all the usual Fall fun, this month M and L will be advancing another degree in Tae Kwon Do. I'm really proud of both of them for all the work, consistency and discipline they have put into it.  They are a little nervous but I'm sure they'll be awesome in their final test. I'm delighted they will be adding another big achievement to their lists.

About two weeks ago we finally moved G to his new big boy room. He was very excited and did so well. It's been great since then. So we were finally able to move my desk to the new guest bedroom/office room. I've been working on it whenever I have a chance. I painted the yellow walls {kept all chevron wall and all the other grey walls} and re-organized the closet system. It's great to have a dedicated space for work. But it's very far from finished and that drives me a little nuts. I tried to work with pieces of furniture we have already and not buy anything because this is supposedly a temporary office until we build the addition. But I still need more storage {although I purged!} so I'm trying to figure out what else to get to set a final layout.

Little has been done in G and L's room. And I' still working on our addition plans. I was able to do a second round of toys-purging and some general de-cluttering, though. Which means the house is now easier to maintain organized {an important thing for me since I work from home}.

This past September I slacked a bit on all my personal projects. However I didn't stop adding to my list. Story of my life. But I'm determined to change that and live more intentionally. Little steps.

 Happy October!
